Chicken Star

Chicken Star is a cute, hipster Korean cafe in Bishkek. It's a good spot for lunch with lunch specials. There is also a buffet all-you-can-eat at lunch. The inside of the cafe is really cool with random items for sale.

This lunch set with chicken breast, salad, potato fries, kimbap, tteokbokki, and pickles certainly hit the spot! The tteokbokki were not spicy even though they usually are very spicy in Korean cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the pickles and kimbap.

Yummy blackberry yogurt smoothie!

The watermelon bingsoo was a bit melty by the time we finished our meals. It's better to order this once finished with the main meal so it can come out fresh. Thus, I wasn't able to properly determine it's comparison to bingsoo I've had in Seoul and other places. Apparently the large side of the watermelon bingsoo comes in a half-watermelon shell! I tried to order it but she wouldn't bring it for just two people... Need to get a group together!
